Standing Rock (Spencer)
I was invited to support the First Nation peoples of the Standing Rock reservation in North Dakota in their efforts to protect their water rights. It was a miniature ideal world of what life might be with idealistic thinking. It was also very sad to their hear stories of military brutality and to see the scars on the people's faces from tear gas. I want to dedicate this series to some of the warriors who allowed me to capture them as they spray painted a bridge at Standing Rock.
