True North (Laura)
The shores of Lake Michigan have been a source of cherished childhood memories. The beach was a relief from the summer heat, a place to gather with friends and family, and of countless adventures in search of Indian arrow heads. The neighboring art center provided my introduction to the joy in creating my own art. It was my microcosm of total contentment. With an adult’s eye, I revisit these withered places and am flooded with those same childhood memories. They are my “true north” as I rediscover the personal bliss of creating art.
